The Hon'ble Mr. Justice Kh. Muhammad Sahrif.
Mr. Justice Kh. Muhammad Sharif born on 9th December, 1948 in Lahore. He belongs to a well established and well known religious family (Khawaja Family). His lordship's father Kh. Muhammad Sadiq (late) was one of the big cloth merchants of Anarkali Bazar, Lahore. His Lordship's passed M.A. in Political Science and got degree in L.L.B. He got Diplomas in Taxation Law and also in Labour Law. He commenced practice in legal profession on 7.4.1971 from the office of Kh. Sultan Ahmad, the most Senior Advocate of Supreme Court of Pakistan and High Court and enrolled as an Advocate of Lahore High Court, Lahore on 24.5.1973. He was elected twice as President of Lahore Bar Association in the year 1989 and 1991. During practice he wrote seven law books, six published by Mansoor Book Depot, Lahore which are Motor Accident Claims, Press and Publication Ordinance, Arbitration Act, Company Law, West Pakistan Civil Courts Ordinance and Law of Torts. Seventh book written by his lordship known as Manual of Local Bodies Elections Laws with Rules is published by Shah Book Corporation, Lahore.
Throughout his legal profession, he remained very submissive in his attitude and devoted himself to hard work and also for the cause of justice and fairplay. He always tried his best to work with honesty and integrity and remained contended with his practice. He carries a strong faith in Allah (Almighty) and Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and sought their blessings. He always worked for the betterment of the public at large and members of the legal profession in particular as he succeeded in securing 500 plots for the Lawyers community and 25 plots for the employees of the District Bar Association, Lahore from the Provincial Government.
He, being the President of Lahore Bar Association, represented Pakistan at the time of formation of SAARC Law Association in Sri Lanka in October, 1991. He was one of signatory to the charter of SAARC Law Association at Colombo, Sri Lanka. He also visited Malaysia, Philippines and England in his private capacity and wrote 'Safar Nama' in the shape of a book known as 'Shakh-e-Nazik Key Aashianey'.
He remained Advocate General Punjab from 31.5.1997 to 20.5.1998 till his elevation as Judge of Lahore High Court, Lahore. Being an Advocate General, Punjab as also an Advocate, he conducted numerous famous cases pertaining to constitution, civil, criminal and service which are reported in the law journals. Now he, being Judge of Lahore High Court, Lahore, is performing his obligations very honestly and efficiently.
